Tasmania’s return to the CAMS Australian Rally Championship continues to progress, with the release of key documentation, including the Event Guide and Supplementary Regulations. Following the release of these documents, the organising committee of Subaru Rally Tasmania are pleased to announce that entries for competing teams are now open.

The CAMS Australian Rally Championship will reach its midpoint this weekend at the Netier National Capital Rally, before migrating south to Tasmania for the fourth round. With two different winners from the first two rounds, Subaru Rally Tasmania will provide key battle ground in the championship fight.

"Harry Bates' new Toyota Yaris AP4 has been very quick this year, whilst Eli Evans has now got arguably the quickest rally car in the country with the international specification Skoda Fabia R5. Both are fantastic competitors and we look forward to seeing them both in Tasmania." said Clerk of Course Graham Malcolm.

"There is quality throughout the ARC field, and we expect Molly Taylor and the Subaru Do Motorsport team to provide a great contest to those two winners, as will fellow Subaru driver Steve Glenney. We also look forward to former Tasmanian Rally Champions Marcus Walkem (Peugeot 208 AP4) and Eddie Maguire (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo) mixing it with Australia's best rally teams on home soil."

Subaru Rally Tasmania have also released shipping details for the event, with SeaRoad Holdings supporting the event by providing shipping to interstate teams. It is envisaged that freight costs will be approximately half of the expected ticket fare for the Spirit of Tasmania, a substantial saving for competing teams.

“One of the main queries interstate competitors have had is the cost of bringing transporters and trailers to Tasmania.”

“Being an island state, competitors can opt to freight their vehicles to Tasmania or drive it onto the Spirit of Tasmania ferry. We recognise that this can be an impediment for some crews with the current costs of sea transport, and we have been conscious in providing an easier solution for all of our interstate based teams. SeaRoad Holdings have been very generous in their support of Subaru Rally Tasmania in offering interstate competitors a reduced shipping rate. All competitors need to do is to book their shipping through the www.rallytas.com.au website and the Subaru Rally Tasmania team will liaise with SeaRoad.”
